Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are simple injectable aesthetic treatments that bring extra volume and support to wrinkles and fine lines. BELOTERO BALANCE®
BELOTERO BALANCE® is a hyaluronic acid-based injectable dermal filler that adds volume and support to fine lines and wrinkles by integrating into the skin’s tissue. Unlike other dermal fillers, BELOTERO BALANCE® is created using a Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) process that ensures the gel is smooth and flexible, making it better able to blend into the natural structure and contour of the skin.
This product can be used to treat a broad range of wrinkles and fine lines, including:
- Nasolabial folds
- Vertical lip lines
- Corner lines
- Smile lines
- Chin wrinkles
Each injection session lasts for about 20 minutes and produces results that can last for six months or more.
RADIESSE®
Another popular dermal filler, RADIESSE® can be used for both facial and hand rejuvenation. Unlike BELOTERO BALANCE®, this product is comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. Once injected, this product provides both quick volume and long-term wrinkle correction. This is because as the CaHA microspheres are metabolized, they stimulate the body to create its own collagen. This supports the structure of the skin, making it smoother, tighter, and fuller.
Each RADIESSE® treatment is indicated with a mild anesthetic that makes injection more comfortable and takes only 15 minutes to complete. While mild irritation, itching, swelling, and discoloration are possible, most patients experience virtually no downtime. The results of this treatment can last for a year or more.
XEOMIN®
While XEOMIN® is an injectable aesthetic treatment, it differs from dermal fillers in the way that it works to correct wrinkles and fine lines. While dermal fillers are injected into the skin tissue, XEOMIN® is injected into the muscles. This is because it tackles a cause of wrinkles that is often overlooked: muscle movement. Over time, the facial expressions that are a regular part of everyday life can trigger the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, including forehead creases and crow’s feet.
XEOMIN® injections typically take no more than 15 minutes to complete and involve little to no downtime. While patients can return to their normal routines as soon as treatment is done, possible side effects include neck pain, headache, bruising, redness, or swelling. Visible results become apparent within five days of treatment and continue to last between 3-6 months.
